Flower Power

To celebrate Justin turning the big 2-7 last Friday, we went to the House of Blues to see the indie folk band Of Monsters and Men perform.  I decided to channel my inner hippie/flower child by building my entire outfit around this Tinley Road Floral Tie Front Blouse that I love.  Paired with boyfriend cutoffs, a high knotted bun, and larger than life fake reading glasses, I felt a little dowdy so I added comfortable, gold-adorned wedges for a bit of edge, height, and girlishness.  We seriously had an unbelievable time at the concert listening to both Yellow Ostrich (opener) and Of Monsters and Men until the wee hours of the night morning and would highly recommend their laid-back, easy-listening music.  What do you think of my flower power look?  How was your weekend?  Do anything exciting or out of the ordinary? I would love to hear all about it!  Happy Monday!

    • I know it’s hard to believe they are from Target! Best $24 I ever spent! Comfortable, adorable, and still holding up after 3 years! :) Thanks for commenting!

    • Of Monsters and Men was definitely Justin’s concert choice, but I loved every minute even without knowing the music. I have since then downloaded their entire album and am basically listening to it on repeat! Thanks so much for reading and commenting Rach!

    • Once I’m able to get past the fact that my grandma awalys uses the world “blouse”, I can appreciate a term that applies to dressy, feminine tops like these. ;-)
