We ventured out Saturday night with a few friends to enjoy the extensive craft beer list at Chicago’s new Stout Barrel House before heading to ShowPlace ICON to see the intense The Dark Knight Rises. If you live in the Chicago area, ShowPlace ICON is the ideal theater for moviegoers due to its complimentary parking, reserved seating, plush seats, and a Lobby Lounge stocked with delicious food and adult drinks. Seriously, my kind of theater, definitely recommend checking it out.
Dressing for the humid and hot Chicago weather outdoors and for the always chilly movie theater, I decided to pair linen black shorts with a lightweight button-up (sleeves rolled up outdoors and down indoors). Channeling the always gorgeous Anne Hathaway and my inner Catwoman, I accented the outfit with pops of red on my shoes and lips and stayed cool by pulling my hair up into a high sock bun. Check out my other outfit combinations of red with cat prints here, here, here, and here!
Did you see The Dark Knight Rises this weekend? What were your thoughts on the movie? Were you super surprised by the ending or not?

And one for your pure enjoyment on this lovely Monday…my attempt at being “catlike” and prowling through the grass. Needless to say it was a massive fail yet ridiculously fun! Happy Monday! Muah!

We really enjoyed the movie. I wasn’t really surprised by the ending much and the second one was definitely better, but it was still a good movie overall.
